Mr. Nayan Mishra, Project Manager, Odisha Livelihoods Mission (OLM) delivered a talk on the topic “Tribal Development in the context of Nagada (Nagada is part of the Sukinda block of Odisha’s Jajpur district, where 19 children died in 2016 allegedly due to malnutrition) 20th August, 2019. His insightful talk, highlighted the fact about different deprivations in Nagada and the journey to overcome these. He urged the students to develop an in-depth understanding of the development sector because it is the passion that gets going a person in the development sector.
Mr. Nayan Mishra has a Post -graduate Degree in Social Work with Community Development as specialization from Utkal University and Postgraduate in Public Health Nutrition from Public Health Foundation India, New Delhi. He has extensive work experience in the area of Public Health and Nutrition and has worked in UNICEF, Gram Vikas and TRIPTI. He has worked with the most backward Tribal Communities in Odisha in areas of Health, Nutrition( both nutrition sensitive and specific programs) and sustainable development
