KIIT School of Rural Management organized a talk by Mr. Chandra P. Singh, Director, Business Development Elite Agro LLC, Abu Dhabi, UAE for the students of MBA (ABM) on 26^th February 2021. Addressing the students, Mr. Singh shared Elite Agro LLC’s mission of turning deserts to productive lands. Round the year production of each and every crop is not possible in agriculture, he said, while outlining EAG’s work in the direction of attaining food security. Mr. Singh also highlighted the growing systems that EAG follows including green house, hydroponics, aquaponics and vertical farming. He concluded the session by talking about the challenges in agribusiness like population growth, economic growth and trade, competition for natural resources, climate change and the trends in productivity of crops and innovation.

Mr. Singh has done Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from Govind Ballabh Pant Krishi Evam Praudyogik Vishwavidyalaya and Executive Program from University of Pennsylvania. He worked in PNG Coffee Pvt. Ltd., Olam and Cargill India. Mr. Singh has co-founded and is the Managing Director of Trans-African Farms and Foods Ltd.
