About 21 students of KSRM accompanied by Prof. Sumita Sindhi and Prof. Pradeep Mishra attended a half day programme on ‘Movement for Efficiency and Transparency’ (MET) on 27th August 2014. The programme was organized by Mjunction, India’s largest e-commerce company and world’s largest e-marketplace for steel under their social responsibility programme in collaboration with TATA Steel.
Mr. Viresh Oberoi, MD mjunction and founder MET explained it as an effort to ensure precision, efficiency, transparency and excellence as a way of life. MET acts as a forum for experts to share their ideas and bring about positive change. It is a platform to recognize people and their innovations in transparency and efficiency. This was followed by a special talk by Mr. Arun Misra, VP Gopalpur Project, TATA Steel. He presented the picture of efficiency and transparency in TATA Steel and its manifestation.
Later four eminent panelists’ viz. Madan Padaki CEO & MD, Head Held High Services; Dr. Arunabha Ghosh CEO – Council on Energy, Environment and Water; Nawal Agrawal Co-founder & Director Getup4Change (RTI anonymous) and Shubhasis Pattnaik, Executive Director Gram Vikas expressed on their innovative means and projects for the betterment of society and towards development of rural poor. They talked about stories of change and stories of success in their work.
The talks were inspirational and held great promise for budding rural managers and change makers showcasing some wonderful experiments and innovations.
