The speaker for the talk was Mr. Ashutosh Dhami. Presently he works as the regional business manager, Odisha at Syngenta India Pvt Ltd. He had earlier worked as a business development manager at National Bulk Handling Corporation Pvt Ltd. Mr. Dhami holds an MBA in marketing from College of Agribusiness Management, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar.
Mr. Dhami initiated the talk by sharing an engaging story about the remarkable career path travelled by a boy. He then introduced the core principles that Syngenta India believes in. Mr. Dhami highlighted about the various career options that agribusiness graduates have including input, output, consulting and how many of these have immense potential for the students. He shared his own struggles and experiences in his career. Mr. Dhami advised the students to hone their communication skills and knowledge about the agricultural sector by reading newspapers, journals and other reading materials so as to have a balanced outlook towards everything. He also suggested the students to stick to their hobbies so as to effectively deal with pressure and be more productive.
