A talk was organized by KSRM on 12th August 2022 for the students of MBA(ABM), MBA(RM) and PGDCD as part of the KSRM Guest Talk Series.
The speaker for the talk was Mr. Uddalak Banerjee, Regional Manager (HR) Head of East Zone of Dabur India Limited. Mr. Uddalak is a B Tech in computer science engineering from NIT Raipur and PGDHRM from XLRI Jamshedpur. He has a keen interest in merging technology into the HR stream. He has written a wide range of articles on HR. His channel Todays skill and Todays poetry are efforts to merge technology into HR. His award winning articles published in mbatious, dare2 compete, chronicles, HR magazines of Tiss, welinkar apart from various IITs also underline his deep desire to bring change in HR processes. His article on “linking agriculture and marketing” was one of the top 50 articles shortlisted by the government of India in the Manthan competition held in 2014. Recently one of his poems was printed in the world poetry compendium by Tagore award Winner Editor Prof Madan Gandhi.
Mr. Uddalak Banerjee shared about the current situation and skills required for HR personnel and vividly explained the importance of executing practical knowledge which we accumulated in the due course. In the interactive session, discussions ranged from the execution angle, understanding the persons for formulating the policies, and the positive approach and mindset needed for an entrepreneur. Mr. Uddalak gave a very good perspective of a salesman’s approach to sustain in a marketing world. He explained the concept of understanding the business models and business strategy development. Mr. Uddalak shared his career journey consisting of 15 live projects with the students. He guided students to understand the business models in basic entities like grocery shop and to work closely with the ground level to get the better understanding of the concerning industry. He further discussed the correct way toward the career aspects and decision making regarding the future goal.
