Promoting a vibrant and student-friendly campus environment, KSRM commemorated the 79th Independence Day with a series of engaging student-led events and announcements of upcoming club activities. The occasion reflected the institute’s emphasis on holistic development and active student participation.
As part of the celebrations, the Communication Club of KSRM organized “Kreative Strokes”, its annual visual and social media communication competition, designed for junior students of the ABM, MRM, and PGDCD programs. This year’s edition, titled “Colours with a Cause,” centered on two socially significant themes: anti-ragging and prevention of soil erosion. The competition attracted over 68 participants, who submitted creative posters in both digital and physical formats. International students from Guinea also joined the event, contributing to its diverse and inclusive atmosphere.
The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Somnath Dutta, Faculty-in-Charge, Student Affairs. Senior faculty member Prof. V. Venkatakrishnan graciously attended the event along with his wife, adding warmth and encouragement to the occasion. He also conducted a workshop on UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging,
Festivities began with an energetic dance performance by the Cultural Club, followed by the official unveiling of posters promoting upcoming club activities at the Open Air Theatre, KIIT Campus 17.
Looking ahead, the Communication Club will host “Meme Mania”, a creative challenge where students will design static memes on the theme “Impact of AI on Indian Development and the Agriculture Sector.” The Sports Club is set to kick off cricket and badminton tournaments next week, while the Marketing Club will organize a reel-making competition. The Cultural Club will round out the month with its much-anticipated talent hunt event, “Jalwa.”
The month of August promises to be a vibrant and engaging period for the students of KSRM, echoing the values of innovation, inclusivity, and community leadership championed by our Hon’ble Founder, Prof. Achyuta Samanta.
