KSRM organized a guest lecture by Mr. J.V. Ratnam, Vice-President , Premier Irrigation Adritec Pvt. Ltd. The context of the discussion was Integrated farming, with a special focus on Vietnam and India’s agricultural practice and land fragmentation issues. He has also discussed by adopting integrated farming how Vietnam is making better use of its land holdings than India. He has also highlighted about facts of various technologies to double the income of farmers by 2022: micro-irrigation, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana etc.
Mr. J.V. Ratnam holds a MBA (Agribusiness management) degree from MANAGE and B.Sc. (Ag) from GB Pant University. He worked as regional business manager in PHI seeds Ltd. & handling sales, marketing, logistics & expense control for Maharastra region. He then worked as National Sales Manager in Advanta India Ltd. With overall responsibility of sales & business development for Gujarat, MP, Chattisgardh, Maharastra, AP, Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Orissa markets. Later he joined as General Manager – Seeds & Traits in Dow Agrosciences India Pvt. Ltd., based out of Mumbai.
