Mr. Sudhansu Sekhar Dash delivered a talk on 23rd July, 2019. He has started his career in the banking sector with Vijaya Bank. Later, he joined ICICI Bank and was the branch Head of Noida Branch. After Serving ICICI Bank for 7 years, he joined ING Vysya bank and was the Regional Head – Retail Banking East based at Kolkata. Post his stint of Regional Head for 4 years, he was promoted and moved to Bank’s Corporate Office at Bangalore as Head of Assets operations of the Bank. Post, merger of ING Vysya with Kotak Mahindra Bank, He joined ESAF Small Finance bank as Head of Centralised operation at its Corporate Office at Thrissur, Kerala. Currently, he is posted at Bhubaneswar for the bank’s expansion programme in East and North Eastern States along with managing and scouting BCs and setting up of Retail Assets business in the region.
The talk by Mr. Sudhansu Sekhar Dash highlighted about the financial services in the unbanked areas and the problems which the rural people face in the banking services. His talk brought about useful insights on financial inclusion, banking services and the financial institutional services, importance of structuring the schemes well and then implementing it. He also shared about how the small banks work in a sustainable way.
