The guest lecture by Ms Priya Mahapatra, General Manager, TCS CSR highlighted about Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives by TCS for enhancing standard of living and gender equality. She has delivered a talk on 17th July, 2019 Ms.Mahapatra shared that how CSR has become more strategic and structured now. She also mentioned that how collaboration and co-operation can connect people together to get better impact. The core competency was effective and efficient utilization of 2% which was given by CSR for the wellbeing of society.
Priya Siqueira Mahapatra has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management(PGDBM) from Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB). During the course of her career, spanning over 25 years, she has worked in the Corporate, Non-government and Government sectors. Priya started her career with Tata Consultancy Servicesin Management Consulting. She subsequently worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd. Switching to the social sector,Priya joined CARE, an international NGO, where she led and managed development projects. She followed it up with a stint as the Orissa State Representative for the Department for International Development (DFID), Government of UK. After this,Priya moved back to the corporate sector as the HR Head of Wipro BPO in Kolkata. In her current role as General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in TCS,Priya looks after CSR in Eastern and Northern India. She is based out of the TCS Bhubaneswar office.
