The speaker for the talk was Mr. Ranganath I V S, Head (Human Resources), Shriram Bioseed Genetics & Bioseed Research India (A Division of DCM Shriram Limited). He was earlier associated with companies like Asian Paints (India) Limited,Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited, Idea Cellular Limited, Aircel Limited and Signode India Limited.
He was awarded as “100 HR Super Achievers India” for the year 2017 from World
HRD Congress in association with TIMES ascent and “Most Innovative HR Leader (ASEA)” for the year 2019 from Asia Pacific HRM Congress among many others.
Mr. Ranganath shared his career journey starting from Asian paints to Shriram Bioseeds. He focused on how one should upskill and reskill in this digital era as the world of business is constantly evolving from industrial to information to digital era. He further emphasized that for growth in career, not only knowledge and skills are enough but a proper attitude is also a necessity. Mr. Ranganath gave examples of new recruits and explained how they should incur and have ability to influence and convince. He further elaborated the change in requirement of skills over the years with more need of adoptive skills like learnability, agility, technology, communication, creativity and problem solving.
