The 2026 Orientation Programme for the new batch of KSRM, School of Architecture & Planning and School of Design marked a memorable beginning to their journey at KIIT. The programme brought together inspiring messages on education, discipline, service, innovation, design and the values that define the KIIT, KISS & KIMS family.
Hon’ble Founder Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta highlighted what makes KIIT unique—the presence of globally recognised Padma Shri faculty and CEOs as School Heads, creating an environment where discipline, service and innovation are nurtured. His message that KIIT offers not just Shiksha but also Sanskar resonated deeply: education here is meant not only to build successful careers, but also to shape better human beings.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh spoke about the simple and inspiring life of the visionary Founder and encouraged students to make the most of their time at KIIT and its world-class infrastructure to shape their future.
Prof. Sarbeswar Mohanty, Director, KSRM, shared practical insights on managing time, lifestyle and priorities to make student life more effective and efficient. Padmashree Adwaita Gadanayak, Director General, KAA, and the Director General of KIIT emphasised that design begins within us—rooted in our rural heritage, human instincts and innate creativity, rather than being something imposed from outside.
A special moment came when Mr. Tapas Kumar Das, 1st-year MBA Agribusiness Management student, was recognised for his quick thinking and ability to think on his feet while responding to a spot quiz conducted by the Founder himself.
The auditorium was filled with excitement, admiration and pride as students experienced the simplicity, warmth and vision of their Founder—and began their journey as proud members of the KIIT, KISS & KIMS family.
